Vehicle Description

Massive 632 Big Block Restomod — Incredible Power, Driver-level Finish

OVERALL CONDITION: Hugger Orange paint is driver quality — looks fantastic in photos and at 20 feet, but shows imperfections up close. Orange peel texture on the driver door and quarter panel. Two small paint runs on the hood. The body is straight and has had a full restoration at some point, but the paint is now 8+ years old and showing its age. Rear spoiler has a hairline crack at the right mounting point. Front bumper is new-style and shows no flaws. All glass is clean and clear. Interior is well-executed: black vinyl bucket seats with custom stitching, TMI door panels, and a custom center console. The headliner is tight and clean. Aftermarket gauges are mounted in a custom dash pad — Autometer analog. Carpet is black and thick but shows minor wear at the driver's heel. The rear seat is removed and a custom box houses subwoofers and an amp. Steering wheel is a custom billet piece on a tilt column.

ENGINE: The 632 CI Big Block V8 is a crate engine built by World Products. It starts instantly with EFI and idles at 900 RPM — surprisingly smooth for a 550 HP engine, thanks to the fuel injection. Compression test showed 200+ psi across all cylinders — like new. No leaks, no smoke. The supercharger whine is clearly audible above 2,000 RPM. Cooling is handled by a large Be Cool aluminum radiator with dual electric fans — runs at 185°F consistently. The oil system uses a remote filter and cooler. This engine is essentially new and runs flawlessly. Exhaust flows through 2.25-inch headers into a 3-inch X-pipe and MagnaFlow mufflers — the sound is deep, powerful, and refined. Fuel economy is poor — expect single digits around town.

TRANSMISSION: Tremec TKO 5-speed manual. Shifts are crisp and positive in all gears. The shifter is a Pro 5.0 unit with a short throw — no play, no vagueness. Clutch is a McLeod hydraulic unit that operates smoothly with moderate pedal effort. The 6-speed capability gives a reasonable highway RPM, but the 632 drinks fuel regardless. No grinding, no slipping — the drivetrain is solid.

BRAKES: Wilwood disc brakes at all four corners with 6-piston front calipers and 4-piston rear. The pedal is firm and responsive — stops like a modern car. Brake fluid is fresh DOT 4. Parking brake is a line-lock — works but is not a factory-style setup. This is a very capable brake system.

UNDERCARRIAGE: Full Art Morrison front clip with tubular control arms and coil-overs. The frame is fully boxed from the firewall back. Floor pans are new and spotless — coated in Raptor liner. Rear suspension is a 4-link with a Heidts axle housing. Gas tank is a custom fuel cell. All brake and fuel lines are braided stainless — beautifully done. The undercarriage is clean enough to eat off of. No rust anywhere.

Test Drive Experience

Turn the key and the 632 settles into a smooth idle — you'd never guess 550 HP lives here until you tap the throttle. The supercharger whine starts faintly at 1,500 RPM and gets louder as the revs climb. Rolling out in first gear, the torque is immediate — the car wants to spin the tires through first and second with minimal effort.

The Tremec shifts with a mechanical precision that feels like a modern car. Around town, the EFI makes it docile — no stalling, no rich smell, just smooth power delivery. But the moment you open it up on a straight, the 632 hauls like a freight train — it pins you to the seat in every gear.

The 4-link rear suspension keeps the car planted, and the Wilwood brakes haul it down with zero drama. The steering is rack-and-pinion and feels direct and modern — a big improvement over factory. At 70 MPH on the highway, the car is quiet enough to talk normally, and the ride over bumps is controlled.

This car drives like a new performance car with the soul of a 1969 Camaro — it's that good. After 30 minutes of hard driving, the temp never moved past 190°F. The only drawback: you'll be stopping for gas frequently.
